Welcome & Friending

Welcome to Bone Verse

I've been writing poetry for even longer than I've been on LiveJournal. This particular journal is a new one, as I wanted to transfer my poetry and related ramblings onto a blog separate from my main real life and fandom journal. I have posted (back dated) all the old stuff onto here now and you can find them via the Masterlist.

I use this journal for two main purposes:
1. To post my own writing, mostly poetry and lyrics. These entries are friends-locked.
2. To talk about other people's poetry, writing poetry, reading poetry, and possible future forays into submissions and publishing. These entries are open.

Friending

To reiterate: All my own writing is friends-locked and to be able to read it you need to friend the journal and be friended back. Please note that unless we already know each other from elsewhere, you need to comment below to be added back.

Commenting on the friending post is fine :)

And thank you for the link. I'll have to see if I can swing the entry fee in July.

There are various decisions to be made what to submit where.
- three to the Poetica anthology
- two to the Manchester Poets anthology
- three maybe to the mslexia competition...

In addition, [livejournal.com profile] apiphile emailed with some interesting links of poetry magazines...

Yet none are as genius as the ones on this icon (don't know who it's by unfortunately)

Aww, thank you very much. The link colour needs tweaking though, think it's a bit too pale...

And sorry for the late replies.

Hi! I thought I would comment here just in case, as I am a semi-lurker and rarely comment /o\ but I've just loved the sound of the poetry you've posted and how it seems so real in comparison to a lot of other poetry I've read, and I'd like to continue seeing it...

and you know me from bandom (the outer fringes thereof?) I meant to say.

I know we haven't chatted a lot but I do recognise you from the flist :)

And thank you so much for your lovely comments on my poetry! As I've started reading more of them out loud to other people, the way they sound becomes important indeed.
